Giovanni Pomares Argumedo

MES Student

Giovanni Pomares Argumedo (he/him) is a Master’s of Environmental Sustainability student at University of Ottawa working with Dr. Sonia Wesche.

He holds a Honours Bachelor’s degree in political science, in which his work focused on political theories concerning structural discrimination and environmental ethics.

As a master’s student, Giovanni is working with thee National Indigenous Climate Compass project. His research interests concern the intersection of data policy and environmnetal technology.

Outside of the EcoHLab, Giovanni enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, and trying new foods.

Giovanni Pomares Argumedo (il/lui) est étudiant à la maîtrise en durabilité environnementale à l'Université d'Ottawa, où il travaille avec la Dre Sonia Wesche.

Il est titulaire d'un baccalauréat spécialisé en sciences politiques, dans le cadre duquel ses travaux ont porté sur les théories politiques relatives à la discrimination structurelle et à l'éthique environnementale.

Dans le cadre de sa maîtrise, Giovanni travaille sur le projet National Indigenous Climate Compass. Ses intérêts de recherche portent sur l'intersection entre la politique en matière de données et la technologie environnementale.

En dehors de l'EcoHLab, Giovanni aime passer du temps à l'extérieur, lire et goûter de nouveaux plats.
